Putting Art in Your Pocket
I think the idea of putting art in your pocket is extremely f.a.b. as Lady Penelope used to say. Lately here in Ireland - and I guess in the US and GB too - times have started to get tough financially. We've certainly seen a big drop off in the gallery - people ain't spending.
Maybe that's a better time to get people focused on quality as distinct from brands. Of course there are quality brands but I mean the idea of a brand is obnoxious. We should be rewarding people for inventing and imagining for us not for capturing mind share to sell us product - welcome to a few new names here, all of them artists in their own special ways. We really welcome an opportunity to hear what you have to say about how you spend! This is a project engaging with the margins between brands and art and the objective is to say something special about the freedom we need to appreciate beauty.
