One World Wallet

Jon

What would you like to be part of this book?

Lets get started putting together the body for the first artists book.
I would like to know what you think should make up the contents.

Your participation is this initiative is what I am looking forward to.
The not knowing what will come next and the being open to new ideas is what makes this project so unique.

Since this is a community involved project please let me know your thoughts.

I am all ears. --Jon

I think the story is what we need. The things that happen and the way the participants remember these happenings concerning the wallets. This would make the books more informative and also allow for more subject matter concerning these events surrounding the wallets.

Fpour more people came into the gallery today and bought wallets. I hope they come along here and sign up and tell us their story. It's be good to get a range of views of what direction you should take the project Jon.

Book Arts entails a myriad of different constructs. A stack of paper could be considered an unbound book. Concertina books are of the ilk of accordian pleated books. an Out-of-the-book vernacular piece could be a book only because the artist says it is. In fact the wallets because it can fold could be considered a book. Just like the word pocket book is used to refer to a womans purse.

I am thinking that a row of these used wallets would make an excellent book especially if the wallets are used so they are almost referentially relics of what they would be in a pristine condition. I have 9 wallets here already and sounds like Haydn has another. Hmmmm?

I actually don't have much of an idea Jon. I don't know what an artist books is. Could you explain some more?

I bet that some of you have ideas concerning what you perceive this project to be so I await some responses to get us started.
