All of these wallets are handmade only using duct-tape and nothing else.
Many of my architect friends love how sparce yet strong and flexible it is considering there is not one extra piece of tape used than is absolutely necessary.
The utilitarian design of the wallet is built with strength in mind even the stress areas have been addressed within the overall design so you should get good use of your wallet. jon
We get a great reaction whenever we take the wallets out and show people. In fact we're going to hang a few in the gallery window. A few together look so beautiful.
The very first wallet came about in 2003 after having read an article called "Duct Tape & Plastic" by Kirt R. Poovey about how these two things will protect us. After much thought and consideration, I figured out that plastic must mean credit cards and the duct tape could protect our credit cards and money, thus the wallet concept.
Once they appeared in New York Magazine they took off and haven't looked back even though there have been many copycat duct-tape wallets this is the ultimate duct-tape wallet and is considered a work of art.
This is my first time utilizing my art wallets in an initiative of this sort and I am very excited about the prospects.
